Snow day with Eli

Since we had yet, another snow day, I decided to go visit Eli (and Matt and Lori)! We had a blast playing in the snow. It was pretty cold so it was a short time of playing but totally worth it. It's been a while since I have just come up just to hang out with the "other" Phillips family, so it was good to just have a free day of playing with my nephew! Eli also got to Skype with his cousin Aaron this afternoon. It was cute to watch them "talk"! We got some pretty fun pictures. Enjoy :)

Remember when I used to teach?

Again, I find myself blogging about being off for a "snow day". If you don't remember what qualifies as a snow day in Tennessee, please revert back to my post about Snow Day! Anyway, so today is ANOTHER snow day. I'm supposed to be an excited teacher because I basically get paid to sit on my couch for however long I want. But am I that teacher.....NOOooooo! I have to sit on my chair and think of all the ways my lesson plans have to change, again, and how we can't learn anything if we are out of school. Plus, you got that whole TCAP test coming up. Only being in school 16 days since Christmas break isn't exactly conducive to learning. (Yep, you heard me correct, 16 DAYS!)

Alas (Natalie, are you proud that I used your word?), I will be sitting on my chair for yet another day, thinking about what I will do tomorrow and Friday. Of course, we don't have school on Monday because of President's Day. So that is wonderful :)
